Sustainability Secret: Goals Achievability (GA), Political Feasibility (PF), and Economical Viability(EV)
Abstract/Description
This study explores the challenges of promoting sustainable practices and proposes a framework based on three principles for achieving sustainability goals. The study gathered feedback from industry and subject matter experts through semi-structured interviews, which were analysed thematically. The proposed framework is based on three principles: goals achievability, political feasibility, and economic viability. Goals achievability emphasizes setting realistic, measurable, and time-bound sustainability goals that consider resources and technological advancements. Political feasibility underscores the importance of aligning sustainability policies with government and societal values and gaining acceptance from policymakers and the public. Economic viability emphasizes ensuring that sustainability policies are financially feasible and generate long-term economic benefits. The proposed framework offers guidance for policymakers, businesses, and individuals seeking to implement sustainable policies. It highlights the importance of ensuring that sustainability policies are achievable, politically feasible, and economically viable in making progress towards a more sustainable future. The study emphasizes the need for collaboration and cooperation across different sectors to achieve sustainability goals. The study also offers important insights into the challenges of promoting sustainable practices and provides a useful framework for stakeholders seeking to achieve sustainability goals.
