Cuturally Integrated Sustainable Social Entrepreneurship: Evaluating Models and Designing Innovative Approaches

Abstract/Description

Social entrepreneurship (SE) has gained worldwide recognition for its potential to address social and economic challenges. Despite its growing trend, SE development in Pakistan remains moderate. While scholars have extensively defined SE, there is a significant gap in understanding the challenges and aspirations of social entrepreneurs, particularly in the context of social business entrepreneurship in Pakistan. This research aims to bridge this gap by exploring the drivers of cultural entrepreneurship, evaluating social business entrepreneurship models, and investigating cultural factors that influence social business entrepreneurship. The study employs a quantitative approach, using convenience sampling and survey questionnaires to collect data from entrepreneurs and start-ups in Pakistan. The findings provide insights into the challenges and aspirations of social entrepreneurs, highlighting the importance of cultural factors in shaping social business entrepreneurship. The study contributes to the existing literature by proposing an innovative model that integrates social business entrepreneurship into a sustainable cultural environment. The outcomes of this research can benefit local and national entrepreneurs, policymakers, and researchers, enhancing awareness of social benefits and informing strategies for SE development in Pakistan.

I am submitting a working paper that I presented during my Master's research, which focuses on empowering entrepreneurship and small businesses in Pakistan, particularly among rural and FATA communities who have been marginalized and denied their rights. This study aims to equip these individuals with the knowledge and skills necessary to start their own businesses and ventures, leveraging the resources available to them. By doing so, they can break the cycle of idleness and unlock their full potential, as they are known to be hardworking and resilient. This research seeks to contribute to the economic upliftment and social inclusion of these underserved communities, enabling them to thrive and access the same opportunities as others in Pakistan
