Abstract
In the FMCG industry, data analytics has begun to play a critical role in the development of business, staying ahead of the competition and in taking critical decisions at the right time. Companies are taking advantage of the power of data to increase their ROI and become smarter, well-informed and more efficient organizations. The digitization of this industry was adopted quite some time ago but with digitization, if the data is not used through Analytics then the wholesome purpose of digitization would be rendered incomplete. DA here bears incredible opportunities for making important utilization of the multiple sources of data available in this business in order to improve operational efficiency and take important decisions at the right time. This survey is focused on providing the reason as to why it’s critical for FMCG businesses to focus their time and money towards analytics, what tools are being used around the industry and some experiments on real life data from an FMCG that we have used to do DA.
