Abstract / Summary
This study analyses current inventory management practices employed by Kravemart, with a focus on Karachi, Pakistan. The study explores current practices in store layout, stocking, racking, binning, and other operational activities and room for improvements. With the help of Qualitative research methods including store visits and detailed interviews by industry professionals, the study aims to highlight room for improvements and low-cost suggestions to improve operational efficiency. The study offers suggestions such as proper labeling, using custom bins to maximize rack space utilization, employing zonal picking methods, etc. are likely to benefit Kravemart. The suggestions are low-cost and can easily be employed by Kravemart. Other ideas that can be explored include automating dark store, but that comes with a significant capital expenditure.
