Abstract

The fast-growing field of big data analytics in healthcare has begun to play a crucial role in the development of its practices and research. It has given instruments to aggregate, oversee, investigate, and absorb extensive volumes of dissimilar, organized, and unstructured data created by the current healthcare industry. Extracting knowledge from health care big data presents huge research and pragmatic difficulties. The progressing digitization of healthcare, which has been greatly quickened by the across the board appropriation of electronic healthcare records, creates remarkable measures of clinical data in a promptly processable format. This, eventually, bears incredible- opportunities for making important utilization of healthcare data to enhance operational efficiency. Approaches such as lean thinking, self-service analytics, real-time analytics and aggregation of data silos have been made part of this study. For this research, the survey, several research papers as well as research articles published on different websites have been used. This study also includes examples of data analytics practices currently being performed in different hospitals and tools provided by IT organizations specific to healthcare facilitating their analytical needs.
