Abstract

This study is conducted to find out the challenges at hand to developing a hardware or a software with high quality UX, the academic research conducted on quantifying the UX and also improving the UX for next generation products would be reviewed and the results would identify the practices involved in the solution of this challenge and list down the best practices the companies facing similar challenges can employ. The UX is an important aspect for both a hardware gadget and software products, this is the human layer of the tool and it needs to be shaped perfectly, failing to do so would seemingly destroy the reputation of the product and lose user interest in the product, user should be able to achieve whatever they want with the product smoothly this is the greater goal, learning from the feedback and employing the best practices can shape the future of the product. Some good researches for around the world have already been conducted exploring the concept of quantified user experiences and also how to employ the feedback from the users of the product which can be available online on social media or perhaps the data is collected through surveys to calculate an improved user satisfaction in the next product. Data mining approach has been extensively used to derive a solution to this problem, researchers have challenged themselves into identifying the pattern of comfort the users seek in their product. In the early days the problem was intended to solve using certain heuristics to predict the success of the product, after the evolution of the problem and the increased complexity around this problem became more of a mathematical one and researchers managed to derive results with more mathematical proofs.
