Abstract

The advanced era of Information Technology required efficient and effective web portals to facilitate their users and capturing online markets for boosting business and trade. Since data is being growing rapidly manual search is replacing through machine learning for saving resources. The rise of social network and increasing use of mobile devices at large scale greatly affected e-commerce industry. Semantic web facilitates users to minimize searching time by providing relevant results on the basis of users search behavior. It has a great effect in users and businesses by bringing advancement in technology that affect all users from novice to expert. User and machine can share, evolve, and connect efficiently in semantic web environment. Information-centric to knowledge-centric behavior is the major feature of semantic web. Throughout the world, portals increasingly incorporated this feature while in Pakistani portals, Web 3.0 is not growing as rapidly to meet competitive requirements. This research is based on online shopping trends across country by systematic analysis of E-commerce portals trend in Pakistan and focused on existing portals trend and behavior analysis that needs to incorporated for the fulfillment of user's requirement.
