Abstract
This research project is a qualitative study that was conducted on ten university graduates and students combined. The study aims to study the perceptions that individuals suffering from social anxiety have about social support. In addition to this, the study also looks at how individuals with social anxiety desire social support and who provides them with the social support. This was done by recruiting a sample of ten people from the ages 19 to 24 from Karachi, and to collect the primary data, in-depth semi structured interviews were conducted based on the Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (Smith, 2004).
