Abstract
The area of interest for my Culminating Experience project is the intersection of romance and sex in encounters between cisgender men and women and how men do manhood (Pascoe 2007, 7) by men engaging in said behaviors. I am interested in examining the ways that heterosexual Pakistani men conceptualize romance, and the way that they navigate romantic and sexual interactions because of these conceptions. My main research question is: How do straight Pakistani men understand romance? It is from this larger question that all other topics that I have explored within this project emerge.
