SBS Thought Leadership Areas
Entrepreneurship and Innovation
SBS Thought Leadership Area Justification
Our project directly engages with entrepreneurship and innovation by helping Crea8ive Bench, a Karachi-based digital agency, grow and optimize its UK affiliate venture, TopVouchersCode.co.uk. Rather than theoretical analysis, we took a hands-on consultancy approach to solving real business problems: how a Pakistani startup can compete in a mature, competitive UK digital market.
The innovations we proposed, a code verification system, a newsletter strategy using Brevo, a long-tail SEO content programme, and a mobile-first UX overhaul are all practical, low-cost solutions designed to help a growing business scale sustainably without heavy investment. This reflects the core entrepreneurial challenge of doing more with less, finding smart, data-driven ways to build user trust and retention from scratch.
The project also explores how a digitally-native business model (affiliate marketing) can be refined and repositioned to carve out a defensible market niche, which is fundamentally an innovation challenge.

GOAL 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth
Aligned SDGs Justification
Our project supports economic growth by helping Crea8ive Bench, a Pakistani SME, strengthen and scale its UK-facing affiliate business. By improving the platform's SEO, user trust, and email retention strategy, we are directly contributing to the commercial viability and revenue growth of a locally-owned digital business. A more profitable platform means sustained employment and business expansion, both core to SDG 8.

Abstract
This report presents the findings of an Experiential Learning Project (ELP) conducted by students of the Institute of Business Administration (IBA), Karachi, in collaboration with Crea8ive Bench Pvt. Ltd. The project focused on evaluating TopVouchersCode.co.uk, a UK-based coupon and discount platform that promotes offers from retailers across various categories such as fashion, electronics, food delivery, and home goods.
The primary objective was to assess the platform’s performance against industry benchmarks and identify opportunities for improvement. As the project evolved, the focus shifted from affiliate marketing expansion to key platform-level concerns, including trust building, organic visibility, customer retention, user experience, and brand positioning.
The study was conducted through five phases: market research on the UK affiliate marketing industry, competitor benchmarking against leading platforms, website evaluation, assessment of email marketing solutions, and development of prioritized recommendations. Brevo was identified as the most suitable email marketing platform for future implementation.
The analysis revealed five major challenges affecting platform performance: insufficient trust signals, lack of customer retention mechanisms, incomplete SEO strategy, mobile usability issues, and an unclear brand identity. These weaknesses limit user engagement, repeat visits, and long-term growth.
To address these issues, the report proposes seven recommendations, including implementing trust-building features, integrating third-party reviews, developing a long-tail SEO content strategy, launching a newsletter program, optimizing mobile performance, improving voucher filtering systems, and establishing a clear unique selling proposition.
Successful implementation of these recommendations could significantly increase repeat visitors, improve organic search traffic, and enhance affiliate conversion rates. The project also provided valuable practical experience in digital consulting, market research, and stakeholder engagement.
