SBS Thought Leadership Areas
Investment Decision Making
SBS Thought Leadership Area Justification
This project gave us practical experience in assessing GHNI’s financial future and showed how our classroom theories are implemented to a real public company. Under the strategic domain of Investment Decision Making, our primary objective was to evaluate whether GHNI’s market price truly reflects its intrinsic value. We used financial modeling, forecasting, and valuation to predict its future performance and intrinsic value. This showed how investment choices are backed by careful analysis, not just market sentiments.
Aligned SDGs
GOAL 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth
Aligned SDGs Justification
This initiative is closely linked to SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth). GHNI operates in a sector that supports transportation, logistics, industrial activity, and employment across Pakistan. The trucks and buses of the company are essential to economic activity, and regular investment in vehicle assembly supports industrial development. This study is an indirect way of understanding how industrial businesses can support economic development by measuring the sustainability and expansion potential of a local manufacturer.

Abstract
This project aimed to value Ghandhara Industries (GHNI) and to understand the factors affecting GHNI’s performance. We estimated the revenue for the main segments of the business. The valuation was done by discounting the cash flows (DCF approach). From our research we found that GHNI has profited from Pakistan’s recovering commercial vehicle market. GHNI’s better margin and high demand for its product have also helped in this recovery. In this report we investigated industry trends, competition risks, and growth opportunities for Ghandhara. Our model indicates that there might be potential for GHNI to grow beyond its current market price.
