Abstract

Nowadays, it is more essential than ever to introduce moods in the workplace setting. Hence, friends at work improve employee’s behavior because they help create enjoyment and meaning in the work. This paper examines the relationships between workplace friendships and employee well-being. Our study will focus on factors such as social connectedness, emotional exhaustion, mental health, and psychological well-being to offer business leaders applicable information on how to positively shape conditions that enhance career advancement and overall well-being of employees. The relationships between organizational efforts and work environment should be well understood in promoting attested work environment and organizational productivity. In this respect, it is the study’s aim to identify a range of relations that can help to extend the understanding of determinants which shape the effectiveness of the friendships type of relationships on outcome variables of employee well-being and performance. This paper aims to provide insight about workplace friendships and their effects on employees and their performance, with the view of improving overall organizational performance.
