Abstract / Summary
This project on a “Strategic Turnaround Business Model” for Trans Food Industries is focused on utilizing the techniques and methodologies of “Business Model generation” authored by Alexander Osterwalder and Yves Pigneur, to develop a new business model for the organization in an upgrading manner from their current business model to support them in decision making regarding the expansion of business. The project also determines the feasibility of the present business for the Trans tech group. The Business model philosophy can be best described as: “Business models are designed and executed in specific environments. Developing a good understanding of your organization’s environment helps you conceive stronger, more competitive business models. Continuous environmental scanning is more important than ever because of the growing complexity of the economic landscape (e.g. networked business models), greater uncertainty (e.g. technology innovations) and severe market disruptions (e.g. economic turmoil, disruptive new Value Propositions). Understanding changes in the environment helps you adapt your model more effectively to shifting external forces.”
