Abstract / Summary
The development of Pakistan’s alternate financing methods has been neglected over many years, with many potential customers having either insufficient knowledge of the methods or the means to obtain the type and necessary financing. Having an organization whose purpose has been to support the industry and move it beyond its nascent and infancy stage requires disseminating information as well as collecting crucial data and information to plan the steps for the future. This is where the Pakistan Mortgage Refinancing company (PMRC) comes into play. Through data collected from specific locations where the residents have been living on rent, amongst other factors, the results suggested that with proper knowledge and guidance, the rent-based residents would like to move out and shift towards having their own property in the long run. Hence, the report would be useful in helping the PMRC understand how better to cater to the needs of their indirect customers as well as deal with the concerns which may arise along the way.
