Abstract / Summary
This paper conducts a critical analysis of the best practices that should be deployed in warehousing and storage. The case of Ismail Industries is used to highlight the practices that should be adopted, with a special focus on highlighting gaps and improvement opportunities in the domain of storage management for the company’s in-house warehousing facility for its CandyLand and Bisconni factories located in Hub and Port Qasim. By highlighting these best practices, the paper aims to provide recommendations, following a detailed comparative analysis of related companies in the industry and the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry. Warehouse performance gaps will be highlighted using the developed audit tool, and recommendations for improvements will be provided based on these gaps in the final report.
