Abstract / Summary
The research report aims to develop a competitive landscape of the Logistics Industry of Pakistan. As per its global initiative, Maersk Pakistan has recently launched Origin-To-Destination Model in Pakistan. It is looking for opportunities to capitalize on the local industries which are lucrative for the logistics industry. The research aims to identify the lucrative industries through a mixture of qualitative and quantitative methodologies involving semi-structured interviews and surveys with the current logistics players, respective customers, and related parties. The aim is to identify gaps in the logistics industry. The questionnaires and surveys are backed up by theoretical frameworks - SWOT Analysis, Resource-Based-View, Porter’s Theory of Competitive Advantage and ServQual Model.
The recent outbreak of Covid-19 has changed the dynamics of the business world. New trends are emerging, while others are disappearing. It is imperative to know the implications of Covid-19 on the logistics industry of Pakistan to develop a competitive landscape. Hence, the TORs are amended to accommodate the implications of Covid-19.
