Abstract / Summary

The report presents the framework for HR practices at Waterlink Pakistan (Pvt) Ltd. For this purpose, a case study was written, to acclimatize with the company’s working culture. Policies and procedures of the company were documented in the form of employee handbook. This handbook now serves as a guiding tool for both existing employees and future inductions. Job descriptions of upper and middle management were penned down by conducting detailed Job analysis interviews. These included both job responsibilities and personal competencies. To provide the basis for fair compensation salary bands were recognized and relevant work levels were assigned. To monitor the progress of the workforce and periodic performance appraisal and management system was devised; this was implemented in the company. Some tools used to reach our desired results were interviews, questionnaires and observation techniques. Besides this various theories and models were applied.
