Abstract / Summary
This project is undertaken to facilitate Engro Foods in order to complement their expansion arrangements in the international market. Investments for the expansion plans for any company are critical and involve risk. Thus a careful and comprehensive analysis is required to assess the strength and soundness of our business decision. The methodology for this project is based on qualitative and quantitative aspects of each country. Five regions have been analyzed primarily, which includes thirty one countries in all. Four countries with the most potential for business have been identified in four regions. With each country a future prospective country has been provided that gives Engro Foods a direction to expand within each region. The qualitative aspects covers country risk and competitors analysis of each proposed market for entry. Quantitative analysis covers demographics, macroeconomic situation, and dairy industry analysis for each country. The results are based on a scoring model, from which top scoring countries are filtered out. A further Qualitative deep dive provided us with the potential that exists in the regions selected. The following countries have been established as a potential for market entry for Engro Foods’ Dairy Products. Middle East Region – Turkey East Africa Region – Kenya North Africa Region – Egypt Greater Middle East Region – Kazakhstan Our group recommends that Engro Foods begins exporting to these countries and once established in these country it should adopt a Strategic Alliance with their distributor if need be.
