Abstract / Summary
The project offered by Dolmen Group is the Enterprise Wide Value Creation through HR Reforms Project which comprehensively involves revamping all the key areas of the Human Resource function. Dolmen Group was facing great difficulties in acquiring and retaining the best talent in the market. It was then that senior management realized that people are the most valuable resource that helps in running an efficient system within an organization. To manage people an impeccable HR system is required which was lacking in Dolmen Group. Therefore the need arose to seek external help and bring out some reforms in the HR system. The areas of Human Resources which were found to be especially weak were the Job Descriptions and Specifications, Orientation of Employees, Training and Development and Performance Management. The objective of doing job analysis for Dolmen Group was to prepare prober job descriptions and specifications for all managerial jobs that existed in the company. A crucial part of Job Analysis Manual was providing a set of recommendations along with each job description.
