Abstract / Summary

Perfect store concept envisions a best in-store experience for the customer in a way that allows them to navigate through the company’s product portfolio conveniently at the right place and at competitive prices. As a category that thrives on impulse purchase, perfect store concept will not help maximize the throughput but will also help align the imbalance in discounts vis a vis the sales volume.

Some of the key outcomes of this project are:

  • Defining KPIs for the Perfect store model for Omore ice cream.
  • Designing the planograms for the freezer for each of the store categories.
  • Devising of a Must-have SKU list for each of the store categories.

To achieve this, an exploratory research of 193 top performing retail outlets across multiple channels and geographical clusters was carried out. The retail outlets were scored on five key dimensions:

  1. Power SKUs Availability
  2. Freezer Fill
  3. Freezer Placement
  4. POSM material
  5. Planogramming

Based on the score, 154 retail outlets were selected and mapped into three tiers i.e. JBP,

Gold and Silver.
