Executive Summary
The project is aimed to find out the awareness and application of IAS 40 in Pakistan amongst the professionally qualified business graduates. It further explores the consistencies and inconsistencies of IAS 40 with two substantive laws .(1) The Land Acquisition Act { s 24 &25 ) and (2) The Colonization Act ( slO-ii) where the government land is either re-acquired by the provincial government in public interests or the government land is allotted to persons for various purposes .
