Executive Summary

Human resource is one of the most focal assets for any organization to remain competitive in today’s business world. In recent times, acquisition and retention of right workforce is the most difficult challenge faced by most of the banks in Pakistan. In Pakistan, banks are frequently providing different financial and non-financial rewards to their employees for enhancing their task performance. This study aimed to determine the relationship between the rewards and job performance of banking employees in Pakistan. Quantitative research design has been employed for the identification of financial and non-financial rewards on the employees in regards of the Pakistani banking sector. The data has been collected from the employees of Habib Bank Limited, United Bank Limited, Standard Chartered Bank, Muslim Commercial Bank, Meezan Bank, Burj Bank, and Dubai Islamic bank. 180 filled questionnaires were selected for the purpose of data analysis. SPSS version 20 has been utilized for retrieving analytical outcomes. Findings of the study have shown that both financial and nomfmancial rewards are significantly contributed in enliancing the job satisfaction and task performance of employees. It has also been evaluated thi*ough outcomes that the development of career, supportive management, and training opportunities has significant impact on the job performance and satislhclion of employees. Moreover, the results also demonstrated a significant influence of positive feedback the performance of employees. On the contrary, there is no impact of non-financial recognition on the job satisfaction of employees. Therefore, the management of banks is required to place more emphasis on providing employee recognition, which enhances the morale of employees. This enhancement ultimately results in increasing the job performance of employees, which is a beneficial aspect for employee retention.
