Description

The debate about taxing agriculture incomes in Pakistan has been contentious, unending and fierce. I have followed this debate with a great deal of interest and thought it might be useful to analyse this issue in the context of the experience of other developing countries who have already traversed this path. The arguments favoring taxation on agriculture income in Pakistan can be broadly grouped into three categories.
