This is the fate facing a large chunk of Nigeria's industrial sector. Ironically it is government, for so long the protector of Nigerian manufacturers, that has now done an about turn. By its implementation of the Structural Adjustment Programme (SAP), it has ushered in what could be a totally retrogressive era for local industries
