Abstract
Real time decision making have become a marker for competitiveness of enterprises in this constantly changing environment. Ability to take these decision based on complete, and up-to-date data is essential for economic success of any organisation. Traditional data warehouses (DW) deemed unsuccessful in integrating of real time data and to provide real time decision support to high level management. This report reviews trends leading the DW in direction of real-time data requirements and also discusses various aspect of real-time data warehouses and enlist advantages and challenges faced while moving traditional data warehouses to real time data warehouse. Real time data warehouses deployed at google has also been reviewed in this report.
