Abstract
This thesis involves studying a political party of Karachi, MQM and their voter sustainability within the city. Time period is covered from the formation of party in 1978 until 2015. The recent developments within the city regarding MQM have been briefly discussed in the end but that is not the focus of the paper. The thesis will inquire and try to find out the reasons for supporting and voting for MQM. The paper will use a political theory and that is the focus of the thesis. In order to apply the funnel model, the history of the party and all the events simultaneously happening within the city will influence the funnel model and the outcome of it.
