Abstract

My research is based on the question “How did the slogan of Riyasat-e-Madina influence the politics of PTI in the 2018 general election?” The purpose of this research was to analyze how political slogan influences the political party in terms of its policy and campaign. It will also look into how the voters get influenced by the slogan used by the political party. I have analyzed three important factors, slogans formation, their interpretation, and finally their influence on the voters. The methods used include an interview of the party official (Member National Assembly) and voters (4 individuals who voted for PTI). Secondary sources that explain slogan formation and influence were also studied and analyzed. Concluding in the analysis, the paper will explain how the slogan proved to be efficient in the socio-political environment when it was launched, how the slogan was interpreted through party policies and government schemes, and finally the impact it had on the voters.
