Abstract

Technology has completely changed the dynamics of the real estate sector all around the world, and the way real estate businesses were done before. The integration of technology into the property sector is known as PropTech, which is heavily transforming the real estate industry all around the world, thus changing the traditional ways of doing business. This research looks into the implications and impact of the disruption caused by technology in the real estate sector. Research particularly looks into the technological shift, its impact, and its implications on the real-estate businesses specifically in Pakistan. The research aims to answer the question of how technology is changing the real estate sector of Pakistan. Comprising of two surveys, the sample population conspiring of real estate brokers and PropTech consumers. Research also includes an in-depth interview of an expert working in the PropTech industry to get a deeper insight. No doubt technology is transforming the real estate industry with sheer speed, inevitably paving the way for the growth of the real estate industry in Pakistan.
