Abstract
This study looks at the relationship between the Pakistani poet Faiz Ahmed Faiz and the people of Indian occupied Kashmir. The purpose of this study is to investigate the recurrence of Faiz’s poetry in Kashmiri popular culture, and to explain how and why his poetry appears in resistance writing coming from Kashmir post 2008.
