Abstract / Summary

The main purpose of this Project is to study the investment products available in the peer markets of India and Malaysia and to explore their regulatory frameworks and product design with a view to introduce these products in Pakistan. This chapter outlines the overall scope, objectives and deliverables of this Project. The main objective of this project is to analyze the mutual fund industry of Pakistan and compare its progress with the India and Malaysia. Along with it, we also intend to analyze the possibility of introducing other products including Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs), Currency Funds and Private Equity Funds in Pakistan and their acceptance by the Market. The project will also cover the availability of supporting infrastructure like regulatory framework and investor awareness .
