Executive Summary
Tile following report is an end to end business case evaluation for the opening of a new fast food restaurant called “The Burger Joint”. The report starts off with a literature review of scholarly articles on the success factors of a new business. Building on this secondary research, the report moves on to conduct a mixture of qualitative and quantitative research to establish the target market for the restaurant and then what factors are necessary in terms of location, pricing, promotion as well as overall product offerings to attract this target market and establish a niche in an already blossoming fast food industry.
Having decided on what to launch, how to launch it and what customers to target, the second part of the report aims to apply all the financial and technical acumen learnt throughout the IBA Executive MBA Program to turn the marketing strategy into an executable business plan with detailed financials of the investment required, demand and revenue forecasts and a 3-year profit and loss and balance sheet.
