Executive Summary

The research study aims to conduct an in-depth analysis of employee’s well-being working remotely in relation to three key dimensions i.e. social, psychological, and physical well-being in the post-pandemic scenario. In this way, the primary objective of the study is to highlight the limitations and challenges faced by the IT industry employees working remotely in Pakistan. This study uses a qualitative research method approach to comprehensively understand the post-pandemic virtual workplace environment impacts on the well-being of employees in the IT industry in Pakistan. To achieve the objectives of this study, the interviewees were selected to gather research data. Overall, the results of this review indicate that the impact of a virtual work-place environment on individuals' physical, social, and mental health varies widely. However, there are some consistent principles that employers can use to improve working conditions to reduce the negative impact of a virtual workplace environment and increase the positive impact of a workplace environment on employee wellbeing.
