Executive Summary
To fulfill the favorite agenda of land reforms in Pakistan; particularly in the Province oi Sindh, the Present Provincial Government of Sindh initiated a commendable program of distribution of State Land among the landless harees in the year 2008 & has achieved to distribute over 56,000 Acres of State Land among 6100 women households.
'The visible positive impact on the lives of the beneficiaries who got cultivable land includes women empowerment; improved social and economic conditions and increase in house hold assets. However a number of issues were witnessed; in which the allottees had to face multiple problems. Districts government did reached to resolve them, but still more attention is required in this area.
In the end of this report recommendations also suggested in which Involvement of active Civil Societies Organization at district level is emphasized and government should establish are institutional setup for the women land grantees in order for them to achieve skill development, so that they can sustain the benefits of this program on long term basis.
