Executive Summary
The purpose of this research is to start a debate over suitability and range of funding instruments available for microfinance institutions, to study their relative worth individually as well as in combination with each other to facilitate microfinance providers in making their funding decisions. The scope of this study includes diagnostics of different funding options available both locally as well globally from which a microfinance institution may benefit from by serving twin objectives of scalability and sustainability. To be used within library premises Methodology: The paper uses quantitative as well as qualitative research, for that primary as well as secondary data is used. The research comprises of two parts. Questionnaire is constructed, surveys personnel interviews are conducted, and focused group discussion is organized.
