Executive Summary
The report presented is a partial degree requirement of the Institute of Business Administration (IBA), Karachi for the Executive Masters and Business Administration in Banking and Financial services program (EMBA-BFS)
Risk Management is a vast topic and covers various aspects to manage the overall risk of the bank. Perusing the EMBA -BFS program at IBA assisted me in learning the skills required to assess various aspects of banking, particularly how to manage and mitigate risk. Being on the asset side working for Corporate Banking Group , it Is essential for one to learn risk management techniques, particularly how to reduce and assess credit risk in a lending portfolio.
This report is a culmination of the knowledge gained through concepts learned at IBA MBA BFS, primarily drawn from the following courses:
1. Risk Management
2. Advance Credit Analysis
3. Corporate and Investment Banking
The knowledge learned and gained though these courses shall be used as a baseline to assess how these concepts apply to Corporate Banking Group in comparison to theory. An analysis shall be carried out how concepts differ from what is applied practically.
