IBA’s Centre for Business and Economic Research (CBER), UNICEF, and DUHS jointly organized a seminar to mark World Breastfeeding Week 2025 in Karachi. The event gathered policymakers, healthcare professionals, academics, and civil society to stress strengthening breastfeeding practices in Pakistan. Dr. Lubna Naz welcomed participants, while Ms. Nida Khuhro (MPA, Sindh) highlighted government initiatives promoting breastfeeding laws. Speakers emphasized breastfeeding as essential for child survival, maternal health, and economic sustainability. A panel discussion featuring experts from DUHS, Aga Khan University, civil society, and Sindh’s nutrition department concluded the seminar.
