Welcoming Remarks by Dean & Director IBA

Abstract/Description

It gives me a great sense of achievement in presenting the proceedings of the third International Conference on Information and Communication Technologies (ICICT 2009). The proceedings contain 45 original research papers that is mainly the work of Higher Education Commission's scholars carrying out PhD studies abroad. There were over 122 research papers submitted to the ICICT 2009 and after a peer review by senior professors from mainly western part of the world 46 papers are accepted for oral presentation at the conference. ICICT 2009 is the third in the series of biennial conferences organized by the Institute of Business Administration, Karachi, Pakistan. Just like the two previous conferences held in 2005 and 2007, ICICT 2009 shall also host 20 senior professors from within Pakistan and from USA, UK, Australia, Malaysia and Saudi Arabia as keynote and invited speakers. ICICT 2009 thus provides an opportunity for intellectual discussion among the various stake holders spanned over two days. The ICICT 2009 brings together the business and technology researchers in a complex paradigm where all of them are presenting innovative solutions to complex problems related to the information and communication technologies in front of an audience comprising participation from academia and industry. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the researchers and IT professionals who have contributed to making this conference a success through paper submission and their active participation.
