Description
The Eighth Annual Conference of the Pakistan Economic Association was being held in Lahore from December 19 to 21, 1957, under the auspices of the Department of Economics, University of the Punjab. Three members from the Institute of Public and Administration attended the Annual Conference of Pakistan Economic Association were;
- Matin A. Khan
- M. Uzair
- Dr. M. Iqbal
The subjects under discussion was measurement of inflationary pressure in Pakistan and the role of monetary and fiscal stabilizers.
The agenda includes following topics;
- The food problem in Pakistan
- Taxation and economic development
- Resources-budgeting in an under-developed economy, with special reference to Pakistan
