Abstract / Description

Theory and evidence tell us that macroeconomic management of a country at any point of time is driven by a combination of several factors. This article is divided into the following sections. Section 1 provides an overview of the initial conditions and the structure of the Pakistani economy. Section 2 deliberates on the policy stance adopted by the government. Section 3 outlines some of the key challenges faced by the Pakistani economy and finally Section 4 offers solutions to overcome them.
