Abstract / Description

Today I am going to focus on four cases which are struggling to put violent conflict behind them and move into an era of peace and economic development: Bosnia and Herzegovina, the West Bank and Gaza, Rwanda and Angola. I choose these because they demonstrate both the commonalities and particularities across regions and countries facing the challenges of reconstruction and, because the Bank has an important role in each of them.
