Abstract / Description

The purpose of this study is to present a picture of the external indebtedness of the countries of Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) at year-end 1990 and make some estimates of the external funds that are likely to flow to those countries in the medium term. It is in the broad context of the availability of the global supply of funds, particularly to developing countries, that the prospects of capital flows to the countries of CEE should be examined.
