Abstract / Description
Over the past three decades, South Asian economies have recorded an average growth rate of 6 percent annually, making the region one of the fastest growing in the world. This paper reviews the progress, policies, and prospects of South Asian economies, examining growth achievements, poverty reduction, policy reforms, and key challenges including demographics, climate change, technology, capital flows, geopolitical risks, human development, regional trade, diaspora potential, and governance.
