Abstract
The world is facing environmental challenges from a very long time but in the current era they are growing to the most dangerous levels day by day, global warming, water scarcity, waste, pollution, smog, floods, lack of food and couple of others remains a challenge for all to deal with. The primary aim of the research paper is to assess green finance phenomenon and domestic credit granted for renewable energy projects in different Islamic countries such as Iran, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, UAE, Indonesia, Turkey, Bangladesh and to deduce an outcome that whether the lending is significant enough in such countries and is it impacting the environment positively.
