Abstract
Forced eviction is difficult for everyone because it intensifies inequality, social conflict, segregation and invariably affects the poorest. In order to study this phenomenon in more detail, research on eviction at Gujjar Nullah (drainage) is being conducted. The purpose of this study is to find out how the eviction at Gujjar Nullah has affected the ontological security of individuals and what type of problems they are facing in everyday life. This research is primarily based on qualitative methods of observations and detailed interviews. The idea of adopting this approach was to fully understand the perspective of affectees of Gujjar Nullah and unearth the grass root details, how the affectees are navigating in their day-to-day life after evictions. The findings will be based on participant observations and oral accounts of affected residents. It has been reported in the media that people at Gujjar Nullah are living in constant fear and anxiety because of the evictions and worrying about their future.
