Abstract
The internet and the technologies working over it are growing exponentially. With this rapid advancement, the data over the internet is growing proportionally as well. In this survey, we have thoroughly studied the sub fields on internet namely Open Source Intelligence (OSINT), Deep Web and Dark Web. Later, we stretched our efforts over Dark Web which covers the questions like dark web history, how one can access it and what are its pros and cons. Furthermore, we thoroughly studied Dark Web engines that are based on Onion Routing. One of the famous and distinct onion routing engine is Tor which we have exhaustively studied as well. Last of all, we have extracted the performance and accuracy of different anonymity based search engines.
