Abstract
Manual extraction of ontology from unstructured text consumes lot of time and energy; to avoid this many automatic and semi automatic approaches are proposed to construct ontology. This research surveys various ontology learning methodologies from unstructured text. In this research we proposed a methodology for ontology learning that uses Natural language Processing (NLP) technique to identify ontological concepts and relationships between concepts and Data mining technique to extract more relevant relations. Finally, evaluate the performance of the proposed methodology using selected information resources.
