In today’s world the increasing number of purchasers or consumers have caused a notable increased number of purchases, due to which growth in purchasing and invoicing is evidently seen, resulting in a consequent rise in the usage of paper documents as recorded in recent years. The orthodox manual procedure which takes place during the entire process is lengthy, inefficient and requires a better substitute. Manual ordering, packing, submission of order and approval results in back and forth, this process has many loop holes which needs improvement, the inefficiencies and loop holes can be resolved effectively by introducing technology, in this case it would be a procure to pay system.

Procurement is considered to be the most revenue centric operation of an organization, the process of procurement is covered in almost every modern ERP, however there are standalone applications which provide for this business process.
