Executive Summary

This report is based on my working experience from March, 2012 to date in the sales department of TOPL. Main objective of this report was to evaluate the reasons for slow growth of TOPL in DEO, PCMO and MCO categories and identify the problem areas for TOPL to overcome to develop the Karachi market.

The report contains scope, work plan, research methodology, detail qualitative and quantitative analysis and recommendations. Market survey included 180 retailers and 90 consumers randomly sampled in 15 key automotive markets of Karachi. In order to better understand the consumer dynamics, an online survey was also launched.

This report is based on information acquired from the retailers, whole sellers and consumers interviewed in the different markets of Karachi. I have tried my best to get actual and authentic data. Few of the markets were visited two to three times to ensure only veritable data is collected.

Detail analysis of all the markets visited was done followed by consumer and gap analysis and recommendation.
