Executive Summary
Since the inception of Pakistan -68 years ago to date, there is one industry which continues to suffer the neglect of our people and government i.e. fishing/ Seafood industry. Despite being blessed with a 1046 Km (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Geographv of Pakistan) stretch of coastal belt, we have failed miserably to cash in the God gifted opportunity- support the fishing community, develop the seafood industry and support the economy by growing our seafood exports. This report tries to identify some of the deeply rooted problems seafood industry faces and are the reason for the neglect it bears from the authorities. The report also moves on to look at the recommendations in order to promote/ revive the seafood segment as a established industry - contributing to the economic revival of Pakistan.
