Description
The topic of this paper, as given in the Conference programme, is Commercial Education. It shall, however, deal with the problems of education in business administration at the college and university level. Our task is not so much to reconstruct commercial education as to expand and improve a programme for education for business administration. The University of Karachi has in prospect a substantial expansion and change in the work in business administration.
The purpose of this paper is to review those features of the experience of the Institute of Business Administration which have contributed to the development of the prospective new programme.
The Report of the Commission on Education provided a comprehensive analysis of the defects of our educational system and a comprehensive set of recommendations for strengthening the entire educational programme.
